10. Now the vehicle seat belt must be tightened.

When tightening the seat belt over the safety seat, make sure there is no

slack on either side of the safety seat and between the vehicle belt hooks

on the safety seat. When tightening the seat belt through the base, make

sure there is no slack on either side of the base and along the base belt

path.

To create a very tight

installation, push down hard

with your knee or free hand in

the middle of the safety seat or

base

and pull and tighten the

vehicle belt.

If you have a lap-only belt, go

to step 11.

If you have a lap/shoulder

combination belt, go to step 12.
